Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a tattoo cost?

$150 an hour.

Do you tattoo minors?

No. Not even with parental or guardian consent. Only adults 18 and older with proper identification will be tattooed.

Do you do touch ups?

Yes, touch ups are free. Touch ups are defined as small fixes to work already done at Easy Tiger SLC. Adding new elements to a previous design are not considered touch ups and will be booked as a new tattoo. Free touch ups are offered within 12 months of the original appointment date.

Do you take walk ins?

No, Easy Tiger SLC is by appointment only.

Do you do cover ups?

It depends, but fineline, stippling, and black and grey styles do not cater well to cover ups. Generally, cover ups require the new design to be 3x larger than the original tattoo as well as darker saturation over the previous tattoo, which conflicts with those styles.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

Yes, you are allowed up to two companions to your appointment. Children are not allowed under any circumstances. I reserve the right kick out your guests if they are being rowdy, disrespectful, or loud.

Do you take cash?

Yes, cash is preferred. If you are paying via card a small transaction fee is added to your total.

What if I have to cancel or reschedule?

You may reschedule one time no less than 7 days before your appointment. If you need to reschedule more than once, or cancel, you will lose your deposit and will need to make a new appointment. Refunds of a tattoo deposit are allowed within 24 hours of booking minus a 3% fee to cover business costs.

Is there parking at your studio?

Yes, the studio is adjacent to a parking lot that offers free parking.

Do you use numbing cream?

No, but you can purchase a 5% lidocaine numbing cream and apply it yourself prior to your appointment. Please note that it takes 1 - 1.5 hours to take effect. I use Bactine that has lidocaine in it during the tattoo procedure, which doesn’t numb the area but helps to relieve some of the pain.

How should i prepare for my appointment?

The best way to prepare for a tattoo is to prep the skin. You can lotion the area to be tattooed every day for a week leading up to the appointment. Do not shave the area. Please be sure to eat at least an hour before your appointment or bring snacks. Hydration is key, so bring water and do not come hung over. Wear appropriate clothing to your appointment, considering what areas will need to be uncovered and what areas you’d like to conceal.

what are some health concerns that may prevent me from getting a tattoo?

If you are nursing, pregnant, or plan to become pregnant do not get a tattoo.

If you are planning to have surgery in the next month, do not get a tattoo. A fresh tattoo is essentially an open wound and your immune system may be lowered during the healing process. There is always a small risk of infection when getting a tattoo, which you will want to avoid if you’re planning a medical procedure.

There is a risk of an allergic reaction to the ink. If you are concerned about a possible allergic reaction, I suggest completing an allergy test prior to your appointment. Although this is more common with color ink, the possibility still exists with black ink.

Certain medications, like blood thinners, can impact your tattoo and its healing. Getting a tattoo if you have certain health concerns like autoimmune or bloodborne diseases pose a risk and you should reconsider.

How do i care for my new tattoo?

I will discuss aftercare with you upon completion of the tattoo. You will also receive a digital copy of full aftercare instructions.
